I have a cat that is a little less than a year and was having a problem with it … She is litterbox trained, but pee anywhere! (She goes poop in the litterbox though) because she is doing it and what we can do to make her pee anywhere STOP?
If your cat is not spayed or neutered it is very common for cats "mark" their territory. If it was changed, then you must discard a urinary tract infection, go to the vet. If no infection, then you will have to retrain her to use the litterbox cofining it has a small area with trash until it is using on a consistent basis and then you will be able to leave it for periods of supervised until you can trust her to use the litterbox consistently. It is important to clean all the places where she had peed using an enzymatic cleaner to ensure no odor of urine left behind (cats noses more sensitive than people to you that is gone can still be present under the nose one will motivate her to pee there again). You can get the cleaning enzyme pet stores and vet. Bleach will not work to eliminate the smell because there are some similar properties the odor of urine, so it will not dissuade her from going there again.
